After completing high school, she studied painting with Sergie Bongart, and he influences her sculpting even today. During those years, art was an avocation as she worked other jobs to support today her three children.
J.R. came "home" to Montana in 1988 and seized the opportunity for artistic fulfillment. She struck up a passionate relationship with "clay", progressed through workshops with national level teachers, and poured over anatomy books on her own. J.R. continues to learn from the masters in her profession, while she develops her own style and ideas.
“These last years have been a roller-coaster of hard work and...Joy! I share my home with my Yorkie, Brijit, and my life with family, friends and the beings I bring to life in the clay! I am truly blessed.” --J.R. Eason
