JEB Prazak-- excerpts from her artist statement:
Making art has forever been an ever present passion and compulsion. Depicting life as it conveys to me the vast array of beauty, treasures, lessons, emotions and cycles is not a choice but a ‘must do’. . . Hopefully, my art will stimulate your own interpretation, imagination and stories. There is no right or wrong n or something to “get” ~ your interpretation is as valid as mine.
Words are extremely difficult to attach to a work of art since they emanate from different places in the brain.
Telling stories in little quips of thoughts, art.
From earliest mud-pie memories on, cannot recall a time when I was not making art in some form or another.
I work on whatever comes to me in whatever medium deems itself appropriate at the time or what is readily available.
Thankfully, all is totally out of my control.
Often in my works animals are portrayed to reflect human conditions.
Over time, my interactions and observations of them have revealed such.
My obsession/compulsion to make art is extremely satisfying and enjoyable. Hopefully, the work conveys this fact.
