About Brio Artist: Nancy Beresford

Nancy Beresford became serious about art later in her adult life. When she and her last child enrolled in a community college, she rediscovered the satisfaction and excitement she had felt years before in high school -- that feeling of creating art of her own.

She was at the beginning of a wonderful journey of self-expression and enrichment.

Participation in juried college exhibits gave Nancy the courage to show her work in public galleries. Her work has been accepted into several exhibits in Colorado, Kentucky and Wisconsin. While living in Kentucky, she was a juried member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen for her batik work.
Nancy says, “There is no great awakening message in my offerings I only wish to convey my enjoyment of color, pattern, and texture found in the world around us If each piece also holds a clue to my personality, then all the better.

Now that I’ve returned to my roots in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, I feel even more inspiration and comfort to continue expanding my experience in all the different types of mediums which I enjoy using; including batik, painting, printmaking, pastel and collage.
